Life

I have not blogged forever! Not to much has been going on for us. We are busy with school and work. But we still make time to have some fun. I just started Cosmetology and am loving it!! The only thing I don't love is waking up at 5:00 every morning to get to my class on time. That is not fun. But other then that it is going great! Greg is still at UVU and taking some hard classes. I am so glad I will never have to take them. I would die in Anatomy. But he is doing great!

This is how much stuff came in my kit for school. There is so much!

They got new heads in our kit. They are so creepy!! There is only one head and multiple hair that you snap on. Greg just loved this!

A few weeks ago we headed up to Strawberry with my family for the weekend. We went fishing and crawdad hunting, and just spent time together. It was a lot of fun. The weather was great and the mountains were beautiful.

 These two are always together

Greg just waiting to catch a fish.

My dad taking a nap with Ayden and Mack... he is the only one asleep.

We are not to big for these!

They would jump off the table and Greg would catch them.

It's fall and that means the its football season!! Greg and I are now BYU season ticket holders!

We just received them in the mail.

Greg was so excited to open them!!

On our way to the first BYU game! It was so much fun!

Catch Up!

I have not blogged for a long time! So much has been going on for Greg and I. We moved into our new apartment about a month ago and we are having so much fun in our own place. I didn't realize how much stuff we had till we moved. It seemed like it was never going to end. And it still hasn't. I still have stuff at my parents! But we are just about all settled. We have everything moved in and put it away. We painted our kitchen and I have had so much fun decorating. I still have a few things I need to do around our place but once I'm all done I promise I will post some finish pictures. But in the mean time here are some pictures of the past little bit of what Greg and I have been doing.

This is our living room full of our stuff when we were moving in.

We were slowly getting things put away.

Our place is slowly coming together! Time to clean.
This is how we lived for a few days. It was great!
Our kitchen right after we got done moving everything in.

We decided we didn't want a neon yellow kitchen, so we decided to paint!

Greg did the dishes one day.  This is how he set arranged them to
dry. I just love it!

Greg and I have been boating a few times this summer, and have had so much fun! I even got up on the wakeboard! And Greg's dad tried to kill me on the tube. He has no mercy for anyone on the tub.  I had so many bruises and rug burns from the tub the next day. But it was still so much fun!

Greg just loves to pull up his shorts when everyone else pulls them down.

Greg  is pretty good on a wakeboard!

This is me in the process of getting up. It took me a few times.

I finally got up!!

This is Kathy and I before her dad wanted to kill us.

He was trying to kill us.

Greg decided to join me. We were hanging on for dear life!

The tub is off the water and we are off the tub. FUN!

It was also my birthday this past month. Greg made me the best cake for me. He also took me to see Inception and gave me a card with some coupons for my present. It was so great! We also went up to the county fair and went to the demolition derby. It was so much fun! I love the fair so much and have missed the past two years. I had been going through withdrawls! So Greg and I went and had a blast.

My great cake Greg made me! I loved it!

He is so cute!

This is Carter, he lives upstairs. Is he not so cute!

Demo Derby!

We tried to take a picture with a baby camel... it didn't work.

So I just took a picture of the baby camel. It doesn't even look like a camel.

I never thought I would be so excited for school!

So I decided back in January that I was going to go to cosmetology school in August. I had it all planned and was so excited! I had everything planned out. But for some reason things never go the way you plan them. My math credit didn't transfer so I had to take a placement test. I was going to study all summer so I could try and place in a higher math class. I waited to long. By the time I took my test registration had already started and my classes were filling up fast. I hurried up and took the test, and actually did pretty well. I had to wait one day for it to get in the system so I could register. The next day I woke up early to register. I could not register!! It kept telling me I needed pre req classes for the classes I was taking. But these were the first classes in the program. I had gone and talked to a counselor and these were the classes she told me to take. I was getting so frustrated! So I finally called the school to find out what was going on. And just my luck, the lady I needed to speak with was out of town and would be back on Monday...it was Tuesday. I had to wait a week. There was only one more opening in my classes. I checked everyday so see if they were still open, and to see if I could register. I still could not register but there was still an opening. But Sunday night I checked and it was full...someone had just signed up. I was so disappointed. How could they register but I couldn't. I didn't get. I was still going to call on Monday morning to figure out what the deal was so I wouldn't have that problem next semester. I called Monday morning and had to wait forever to be able to talk to this lady. I finally got through to her and asked what the deal was. Well just my luck again, I was registering wrong. I didn't know there was a certain way you had to register for the classes. I was so mad at myself. It was because of my stupidity that I would not be starting school in August. When I was talking to the lady she said she would put me on a waiting list and to check everyday to see if someone had dropped out. So thats what I did. I checked everyday numerous times to see if anyone had dropped out. But no had. I was getting more and more down about the situation. Its a two year program and I needed to start it soon so I could finish by the time Greg and I move for physical therapy school. I saw no point in going anymore. But I kept checking and decided that I could at least take some of the general classes they require. At least that way I would still be working towards my liscens. That was my plan. It wasn't the one I originally planned on but it would work.
But today while I was watching tv with Greg when I got home from running my phone rang. I looked and didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer. They left a message so I listened to that. It was Bonnie at the SLCC cosmetology office. She was asking if I was still intrested in going to school this August. I couldn't believe it! I was so excited! I got a huge smile on my face and yelled at Greg "I might be able to start school in August!" I ran upstairs where I had better service so I could call her back. I called and she didn't answer, so I left a message. I sat down with Greg and was just waiting for her to call me back. But I couldnt wait anymore, I had to go shower. As soon as I get in the shower and start washing my face my phone rings. I turn off the water and jump out and it was her. We talked for a little bit, then she asked for some information that I had in my room. So I ran to my room in a towl with my hair in a shower cap, mascara all over my eyes and a little fashwash still on. I get in our room and Greg just looks at me and starts to laugh. I tell her the information and she says that she will get me all registered. I was so happy! I could not stop smiling! It was the best morning!
So its official. Starting in August I will be starting cosmetology school! I am so excited. I have never been so excited about school before. This is something I have always loved and have always wanted to do, and I'm finally doing it!

Im so excited to start cutting hair! I try to do it now, but I could definatly use some school. Hopefully next time I cut Greg's hair he won't look so scared!

St. Anthony's!!

This past weekend Greg and I went with my family up to the St. Anthony sand dunes in Idaho. We had so much fun! It was so nice to get away for a few days and have nothing to do. I finallly got to ride a four wheeler! I have not been able to since my accident. I was supposed to wait for one full year. But I figured that one month would not hurt anything, and it didn't! I had so much fun and forgot how much I love it at the sand dunes! We also took Greg's families Rhino. The little kids loved it so much! They were constantly wanting to go for rides. They would also just play in it and pretend they were driving! Everything was great...well after we fixed our truck.

On the way up we had a little problem. We were driving and heard this huge bang. It sounded like we blew a tire. So Greg and I both got out and checked our sides. There was no flat tire, so we got in and continued driving. As soon as we started driving we could hear this clunking noise. We got out and looked under the truck and could see that something by the front left tire had come loose. We were about a mile from camp so we just drove there very slowly. When we got there we took off the tire and found out that 5 of the 6 bolts and come off and the last one on was bent. But it was fixable! All we had to do was go buy some bolts! We were so lucky! When it happend Greg and I were so nervous that we would have to take it to a shop. But we didn't. It was an easy fix and we made it home! Tyla and I helped so much as you can see.

Once the truck was fixed it was time to play!

Greg and I had so much fun with Ayden and Mack in the Rhino! Greg kept taking us threw sprinklers.

It was so much fun to go riding with Greg again.

We also enjoyed the Rhino at night. Look how bright that moon was!

There was a CRAZY lighting storm one night. The dark picture is how the sky would look when there was no lightining. But as soon as the lighting struck the whole sky would light up! And it wasn't the bolt lighting either, it was just the flashing lighting. It was so neat! It lite up the sky so much.

Greg and I, and Greg and Tyla all sat on the truck until it started pouring rain. We then moved into the trailer to watch the storm. The Greg's can't pull a normal face.

This is my nephew. He is the cutest little guy in the world. I just love him! He is obsessed with Greg, or should I say Cannon Greg. That is what my niece and nephew call him. Mack always wants to be with him and does everything that he does. My family jokes that Greg is Macks boyfriend. He loves him and has no problem saying it.

Insomnia???

Something is wrong with me. I dont sleep at nights. I don't know what my deal is, but it's driving me nuts!! They past few nights I have not really slept. It takes me forever to fall asleep, and once I do I wake up and can not go back to bed. I am so tired everyday and can't wait to get home to go to sleep. I have even been trying to go to bed early. It doesn't work. I just lay there and toss and turn. Poor Greg. I must drive him nuts at night. I am adjusting every two minutes to a new position trying to find a way to fall asleep. I think its time that I move to the couch if I still cant fall asleep. I think I might have insomnia..and I know I sound crazy. Greg thinks I should start taking sleeping pills. I just don't want to. I hate taking pills and am always so nervous that I won't be able to get off them. But if I dont get a good nights rest soon I think I will have to.

I have always had this problem. There will be a week were I don't sleep. But then the next week I will be just fine and have no problem. This week is one of those sleepless weeks. Im really hoping that tonight will be different and I will sleep the whole night through. I sound like an infant baby who's mom is just hoping they will sleep that night. I'm crossing my fingers and will hope the sheep I count will put me to sleep. Wish me luck!

This past weekend was one of my best friends wedding. It was so much fun and so pretty. We spent Friday night at Old Spaghetti Factory for the wedding dinner. Then Saturday afternoon it was off to Mill Creek Canyon for the wedding. It was so pretty up there. Everything was green and the rain was holding off!! The ceremony was beautiful and I even cried a little. The rain didn't hold all day. She had to move her garden reception to a mortuary... Her grandpa owns one and so they had it there. She was so lucky that the mortuary was so pretty! Her reception was great. You didn't even know you were in a mortuary. And unfortunately I forgot to take pictures there! Im so mad at myself! But I did take pictures at the ceremony!

This is Greg and I at the point of the mountain on the way home from the wedding dinner. It was so foggy we could not believe it! We just had to get out and take some pictures. It looks a little creepy.

Greg and I got there a little early. So we took some pictures before the ceremony started.

This is Allyssa and Noah. They looked so great and were so happy! I love them and am so glad they got married. They are just perfect for each other! (Don't you just love her dress, Its so unique and was perfect for her!)

I really wish I had pictures of her reception to show. It was so cute and I just loved it! Maybe I will be able to steal someones soon and share them.
