Here we are at Jordan River Temple! This is where we are getting married! And this picture was actually taken on the night that he proposed.

The Temple is booked!
We have been engaged for about a month and a half, and almost everything is booked and ready to go... except for the Temple. Whoops. I thought I needed to talk to my bishop before I booked it, but things have been so crazy right now, and I'm a little lazy so I hadn't done it yet. We had the reception booked, the flowers, the cake, the cupcakes, the luncheon but not the temple. Without the temple there is not a wedding. But I finally called last night and got it booked! It was the most exciting phone call I have evre had. I have never been so happy. It made it so much more real booking the actual wedding. It was just so great! I even started to tear up. I was just so happy! I was on my way to Greg's house when I called. I texted him and told him to meet me out front first. I wanted to tell him alone and not infront of his mom and sisters. It was so great! I could not stop smiling and even started to tear up again when I told him that I had finally booked the temple. I am such a baby! But I just couldnt help it. I was so happy and excited!

I'm so glad I'm a guy
Ali and I are planning for married life and we each have distinct jobs and tasks that we are in charge of. Ali is dealing with colors and food and I'm dealing with insurance and...well that's about it. In preparing for this wedding I have come to realize even more how good it is to be a guy. As complicated as insurance is to figure out, it is cake compared to picking colors. There are only like 50 insurance companies as far as I can tell through Wikipedia. And with Wikipedia anyone on the planet can write anything they want on there so you know you're getting the best information. But think about what Ali is dealing with here:
There are 64 million colors that a computer can decipher. Since there are 7 colors, Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, in the visible spectrum, you get 7 base colors, plus black, which is the absence of color, still 64 million divided by 7 is 9,142,857 different colors of green. That's 9 million 142 thousand 8 hundred and 57 shades of green. But we won't just have green at the wedding. Ali is thinking about shades of red, blue and yellow as well. So 4 basic colors. You multiply shades per color by 4 and Ali has 36,517,428 different colors to choose from. Ali has to narrow 36,517,428 colors down to 4. That is daunting to say the least.
But if you look at it this way, she has narrowed 64 million to just under 37 million. Good for you Ali!

I caved...
After being bugged by Greg, I finally caved in. Yes Im old and have a blog. Its time to accept that.
Like he said, we decided we should get a blog after talking to his cousin during church ball while he sat his three minutes out for getting a tech. I was a little shocked that Greg actually started it, and that he did it right now. I figured once we got married we would probably get one going. But I was wrong. Im glad he started it, it will be fun for us. And I am so glad that he is willing to post on it. It really is our blog, and you will know when it is Greg because at the end of his post will be a picture of BYU, Colts, or a dirtbike.
We are in the middle of planning this wedding and it is going great! I feel like we have it pretty easy so far. I have not been stressed about anything or annoyed with anyone and their imputs. Our families have been great and so helpful to us. We have a few things booked and ready to go but still have a long list of things to do. I am trying to find shoes and it is so hard!! My dress was a million times easier to find, I just dont understand. So if anyone knows where I can get some cute white flats let me know. I need to get them soon so I can get my dress altered.

Greg is Calling Ali Out!!!
Thinking I'd be a nice guy I went ahead and made this blog. I had no idea how afraid of blogs Ali is. When faced with the opportunity to post something on OUR blog she froze like a deer in the headlights and at this point no prodding or begging will get Ali to post something. So maybe I should turn this blog into Ali's Life as Greg Sees It. Ali claims that she will post something tomorrow. We shall see.
In the meantime, How Bout Them Colts!!

Blogs vs Facebook
So the other day Ali and I were informed that single people do Facebook and married people do blogs. So in the middle of planning this wedding with all of it's complexities we have also created this blog. I have never blogged before and Ali has never blogged before (though she claims she has) so this will be interesting. Oh and Ali has no idea that I have created this blog. We'll see how she reacts to it. I expect this blog to be full of pictures and written accounts of events in our life together(Ali) and rants and raves about sports, dirt bikes and video games(Greg)
So there should be something for everybody to enjoy!
