Soldier Summit!

This past weekend Greg and I had the chance to go camping with my family up Soldier Summit. We had never been there before but Greg found the most amazing place in the world! It was so beautiful up there and we had such a good camping spot. Greg and I headed up Thursday night to make sure we had a spot to camp, and my family headed up on Friday. It was such a fun weekend and I loved it! We need to go back soon!

Greg and I arrived on Thursday and we had a little friend in our camp. This deer was not afraid of us at all! It just enjoyed dinner next to us.

We took a ride that night up the mountian and I could not believe how beautiful it was! The trees were still so green and every where you looked there were mountains. The sun was also setting which made it even better!

While building our fire I stumbled onto the coolest wood ever!! It was really starting to decompose so it felt like a sponge. I was in love with that wood and played with it all night. I really wish we would not have burned it all so I could bring it home with me.

Yes I left my bite marks in the wood.

Baby Elle! She is so cute!

I think Mack was ready to go for a ride.

Luckily they brought something he could ride by himself. Every kid loved this bike!

Of course there is something for my dad to fix. Every time we go camping he is fixing something!

Don't worry its only BB guns. They only sting if you get hit.

Ayden was a natural, she could do everything on her own.

Such a dead eye!! I love her closed eye.

Mack alone with a gun is probably not a good idea.

This was the ulimate challenge. You had to shot the flat can from the top with out tipping one of the other cans over. Greg said if you could do that you will be ultimate shooter forever. Well from about 20 yards and first shot, I became the ultimate shooter. I nailed that can!! Greg was in shock.

I love how easily entertained kids are. Just give them some rocks and crayons and they are perfectly happy!

Carrie and Elle.

Meg just needs a door to be happy.

Mack and Kevin ready to go!

Elyse loved the My little Ponies! So remembered all of their names and played with them almost the whole time.

Elyse and Mack. They look so much a like!

Jill trying to get her kids to take a nap. I think the only one she put to sleep was Eric.

Amy made a sacvanger hunt for the kids and they loved it!

Just enjoying the shade. It got so hot up there!

That ride wore Mack out...or should I say The Hulk. His grandma made this shirt for him and I love it!! It has padding sewn in along with pecs and abs! Its fantastic!

The kids loved playing in the Rhino!

Helmet: Check
Gloves: Check
Goggels: Check
I think he is ready to go!

Ayden and grandpa ready to go!

Greg was such a good guide!

These rocks are so weird!

Greg kicked my butt this trip. We went on two rides together and I thought I was going to die on both of them. They were so hard and way out of my level. This is me finally finishing the "Most difficult" trial. That was the rating it had!! Thats what the black triangle with the squiggly line through it at the bottom of the marker means. Their is only one level higher then that. Lets just say that I was not in the best mood at the end I have not cussed that much in a long time. But I didn't die!

Of course Elyse picked out a pink helmet.

Mom and Dad going out for a ride!

Greg said that this shirt is the girlies shirt he has ever seen someone wear dirtbiking. He must forget that I am a girl, and yes I will do my hair in the truck mirror.

Mack and Elyse loved this log!

They loved it even more when we made a teeter-totter out of it!

Elyse loved me that night! It made me so happy. She is so shy and loves to keep to herself, I was happy that she wanted to be with me.

We went and picked some wild flowers and she loved them!

Greg was looking for deer, and I think Mack just wanted to use some binocs!

Right when Ayden got there this is what she found. An animal jaw. She thought it was the coolest thing ever. I don't know how she always finds this stuff.

Meg loved to ride the motorcylce. She did not like to drive it, only ride on the back. She would ask everyone to drive it.

I love these two girls.

Of course Mack is keeping us entertained.

Meg made everyone move their chairs a few times so her and Elyse could sit together. She loves Elyse!

Greg was going to tickle Mack. That poor kid is always getting tickled.

The Wahlins are off!

The kids make shift table made of coolers.

Two year olds with popsicles is messy!

We took a ride one night to look for animals. It was so much fun and the kids loved it!

Megs eyes are so black and Elyses are so blue. Its crazy!

Keeping our eyes out!

Ayden loved using the binocs!!

Poor Meg struggled walking in the sage brush.

Eric and Ayden heading back.

I love this picture! This place was amazing! I really wish I would have taken more pictures of the landscape. I loved looking and seeing only mountians and trees. It smelled like pine and the air was clean. I love being up in the mountains and am so glad that I live so close to them. This was such a fun trip and I'm so glad we threw it together at the last minute!
