Frost Bite!

Last night I decided to spray paint some frames that I have been putting off. So I grabbed the frames and paint and headed outside. I was painting them and doing a few coats to get the black to stick to the wood. My finger that was pushing down on the nozzle started to hurt. I thought it was because I was pushing down for about 10 minutes.

I finished and went inside. My finger hurt and was covered in black spray paint. I am messy at every thing I do, so I was not to surprised. I told Greg that my finger was really hurting, so he came over to look at it. It grabbed it and said that it felt like ice. So we went into the bathroom and ran hot water over it. That killed! I couldn't take it anymore so I took it out and said it was fine. So we went about our night and my finger still hurt. I could barely even touch it. And the tip of my finger started going red! I was a little concerned.

When I was spraying the paint the tip of my finger was a little over the nozzle the whole time. And if you know about aerosl cans you know that they are under high pressure and at freezing temperature. So my finger was being sprayed by freezing liquid for about 10 minutes. I got frost bit on the tip of my finger!!

So I went to bed with my finger hurting hoping it would be fine in the morning. I woke up today and noticed there was a white spot on my finger! I ran into our room with a flash light to show Greg. He just started laughing. I got frost bite at the end of April due to a spray paint can. How is that possible? This would only happen to me.

This is my poor finger. It seriously kills!! Lets just say it has taken me a very long time to type this, my final looked like a four year old did it. It has been hurting all day! The only good thing about it is that it got me out of doing a prem today at school, but I did do a color. That was not so bad, it just took me way longer then normal.

But thats my story.

I got frost bite from a spray paint can.

Thirteen of Thirty

 Favorite Vacation.

This was not my favorite vacation. But we just went on a camping trip and I wanted to post about it. So today it is my favorite vacation!

Gregs family goes camping for spring break every year. It is such a fun trip and I wish we could go for the full week with them. School and work are just always getting in the way!

This year we went down to Factory Butte in Southern Utah. It is close to San Rafael and the Green River....If you know where that is. I left work a little early on Friday and Greg and I headed out to have some fun for the weekend!

Greg and I heading out on a ride. We had so much fun out there and wished it would have been longer. I am still learning how to ride dirtbikes, I grew up on four wheelers and am having a hard time switching over. I feel pretty good on it, I just need to learn how to turn! I have the hardest time with that. I take the widest turns and always go off the trail.

I am also extremely slow!! Notice how close Greg is behind me. Poor kid. But I wouldn't have to go so slow if we were on a straight trail! Those dang turns!!

Me with my sister in law Cindy before our ride

This is everyone at Eagle Canyon. This was such a cool place. It was a big canyon with two feeway bridges above. It was crazy. One of the kids climed all the way up and threw a frisbee thing off the bridge! It didn't really get to us but it was cool. And when semi's would drive over the bridge it would sound like thunder. It was way cool.

Andy, Me, and Cindy

Greg's family left on Saturday to get back for Ward Confrence. Bishop Cannon was so happy to be heading home a day early to talk in church. But Greg and I wanted to stay. And lucky for us they had to take 2 trucks down to pull the toys. So Greg and I stayed with one of the trailers, two bikes and the Rihno. We slept in the bed of the truck and went on some fun rides the next day with just the two of us. It was fun to do that together.

Down at Factory Butte there are a lot of mines!! And on our morning drive in the Rhino we found one that Greg and never seen before. We looked at it for awhile from the trail trying to find the road that the miners used to get up there. We found it. And lucky for us the Rhino took us right up to it! We only had to climb a little bit to get up to it.

We only had to climp up a little bit... but climbing up shell rock when you are afraid of heights is a little challenging. Greg was waiting for a little while for me to get up there. So he snapped a few pictures of me trying to get enough courage to move my foot.

I finally made to the mine and it was so cool! It was pretty big and kind of smelly. It smelled like poo. But Greg said it was just dirt. The opening shaft went pretty far and gradually got bigger. Unfortunatly for us, we were not planning on going to a mine that morning and did not bring a flash light. So we could only go in a little bit. I was kind of sad. I kept hearing about all the mines down there and how cool they were and really wanted to go in on. Next time!

Up a little from the mine there was an old wood ladder. Greg was a little curious so we climbed up there to see what it was. The ladder was old and made of wood. I didn't trust it. It was not very sturdy but Greg still had to climb up. So he went up and guess what was up there. Nothing!! Just the top of the platue. That makes me feel good that I didn't miss anything for not climbing up.

Also by the mines are old shacks that he miners lived in. It was kind of creepy. There was matterss springs, stoves, and metal jugs everywhere. It was weird. There were also a few old cars around.

Old cars are kind of mine and Greg's thing. Every time we see one we have to take a picture of it. We have a few pictures of us standing in old cars. Its kind of fun, and I get so excited when I see an old car!!

Greg and I had so much fun that weekend and loved having a little vacation with just us. Sunday after our Rhino ride we decided to take the bikes out one last time before loading up. We went to some pretty cool look out places and took some fun pictures! It would have been a lot better if the wind would have stopped. It was so windy!! That explains my hair.

Isn't that place so cool looking! I loved it! There were so many different colors in the land. It would go from red to orange to tan to green!  I just loved that trip and can't wait for the next one. Greg told me there are a few other places that he wants to take me too. So we are going to plan them and head out! Hello Copper Globe and 5 Miles of Hell. I am a beginner rider and we are going to 5 Miles of Hell next year... wish me luck.

Twelve of Thirty

Something you don't leave your house without.

I know most people say they never leave their house without their keys, phone, or purse. But I often leave all of that at my house haha. Unless I am driving or I need my wallet I never take them with me anymore. And I seem to leave my phone at home a lot too if we are just running somewhere. So I guess the only thing I never leave my house without are my shoes! Oh and clothes haha. But I always have my shoes on. That is until it gets a little warmer. Then who knows what I wont leave the house without!

I love these shoes! They are so comfy and cute! My friend Jim made them so know one else has them. He is so artistic its insane! If you want some shoes from him let me know and I will give you his number! The only down side to me always wearing shoes is I have stinky feet!! I hardly ever wear socks and always have flats on. So cheap shoes with no socks equal stinky feet!! Greg hates it so bad. Probably because I am always putting my stinky feet in his face haha the benefits of being flexible! And sadly I have to wear closed toe shoes to school, so no stink relief with flip flops this year! And the space heater at my feet all day does not help!

I never leave my house without my shoes, but maybe I should so my feet won't stink so bad!

Eleven of Thirty

A photo of your favorite place to eat.

Jeri's Kitchen!!

Growing up when I would ask my mom what was for dinner or if we could go out, her response was always "Jeri's Kitchen". Back then I hated that!! I wanted to go out so bad and I was getting sick of eating home. But now I feel a little different.

(Don't mind Greg, Ayden and my Dad)

I love my mom's cooking more then anything! Sure eating out is great and there are ton's of great places, but nothing is like a good home made meal.  I love going home for Sunday's  dinner, I just know its going to be great!

My mom is the best cook ever!! I hope one day I can cook as well as she can. Everytime I make dinner and Greg tells me how good he thinks it is. I always respond with "It's not as good as my mom's" One day I will get there. It will just take a lot of time and practice! I try to help her as much as I can so I can learn. But she doesn't even measure anything so I don't know how I'm going to do it.

(Cute baby Mack dressed as a turkery for Thanksgiving... No we did not eat him)

I have a huge family that gets together every Sunday. We have a little kitchen with no dinning table. We have never had one. Growing up we always would sit up to the bar and eat dinner. Everyone else thought it was so weird, but thats all I knew. But now with the family getting bigger its a little hard to squeeze everyone to that bar. So this is what we do. We bring in two huge folding tables and a ton of folding chairs. It fits everyone and it works out so great!

And at Jeri's Kitchen dinner is always followed with games. It is so much fun to sit around and play games together. My mom is always buying new ones for us to play. And let me just say that my family gets intense! Everyone is competitive and so games with teams equals a lot of yelling and swearing at each other. Don't be on my mom's team playing Sequence. Just a warning.

Ten of Thirty

A photo of you and your family.

For 21 years this was my one and only family! It gets bigger every year and I love it!! People are getting married, and my sisters keep popping out kids. It is the best thing ever! I love my family so much and think they are the greatest people ever. They are so much fun and make me laugh all the time. I find any excuse to go and see them. We get together every Sunday for dinner, and it is my favorite night of the week. Not only do I get an amazing meal from my mom, but I also get to talk to everyone and play with all the kiddos! I am way lucky to be part of the Goffin Clan!
(This is our most recent picture, and one of the worst haha. We all crammed into a tiny space and tried to let the camera see us. We did our best and this was the best one...)

I then married this kid, and we became our own family. We are a little family, but I love it!! We have so much fun together and making new traditions for our family. One day it will get bigger, but I'm going to take as much advatange as I can with just the two of us. Greg is a great husband and friend, and someone that I am very happy to have in my family and to start my own with.

When I married Greg, I inhereted a new family. The Cannon's. I love my new family so much and am so lucky to be with them. I get along so great with them and have a ton of fun with them. Everyone I talk to says how lucky I am that my in-laws are nice and I actually like them and get along with them. And I really am!! I love being with them. The Cannon Clan is a little smaller then the Goffin, and that took some getting used to. At dinner there are only 7 of us!! I'm used to 17 and hauling in bigger tables and chairs! But even though there are not as many Cannon's, they can be just as loud, which makes me feel right at home!

I am so lucky to have the families I have and love them so much!!

Nine of Thirty.

Something you could never get tired of doing.

I'm changing this one to...

Something you can't get enough of.

Today I spent a few hours with some of my family at my grandparents house. My mom was watching my niece and nephew (Elyse and Mack) and wanted to go visit my grandparents. She talked to my siser and she wanted to come too with her girls (Meg, Ayden and Elle). I got out of school way early today and decided to go with them! I am so glad that I did. I love those kids so much!! They are so much fun and I just can't get enough of them. And to make it even better, Greg got out of class just as we got there and headed over.

We played and ate lunch and had so much fun. I love those kids so much, they are always making me laugh. And Greg happens to be the favorite in the family. All the kids love him and are always next to him. When we were getting ready to leave my mom's house I told Mack that Cannon Greg (that is what they all call him) was going to meet us there. He got so excited and kept yelling that Cannon Greg was coming. It was so cute. He also kept yelling at my mom to hurry up and get ready because Cannon Greg was going to be there. He also wants to grow up and be a man just like Cannon Greg. Oh this kid is so cute!!

While playing at my Grandparents I did not want to go to work. I just wanted to stay with those kids and Greg all day! Greg is so cute with them and loves to play with him. He will be a great and fun dad.

I could spend all the time with them. I just can't get enough of them!!

For our kids meal toy we got the three cups and a ball game. You know you put the ball under one and mix them up and you have to guess what cup it was under.  Greg had all of them playing and they were loving it!!

Ayden was doing so good! She was getting it right everytime! I was so impressed by her. Mack was not as good, he could not guess it right, so Ayden told him how to play. She said "It's easy, the ball is in the one with the yellow dot on top."
So Greg looks and notices there is two little holes at the top of the cups, and Ayden would just look and what one had the ball. She was totally cheating! But I was impressed that she actually could figure that out.
Greg started covering the the holes and she did not do as well.

I just cant get enough of those 5 people! I just love them!

P.S. I just found out I can email pictures from my phone(yes I'm an idiot), so there will be a lot more recent pictures!
