Ali and I are planning for married life and we each have distinct jobs and tasks that we are in charge of. Ali is dealing with colors and food and I'm dealing with insurance and...well that's about it. In preparing for this wedding I have come to realize even more how good it is to be a guy. As complicated as insurance is to figure out, it is cake compared to picking colors. There are only like 50 insurance companies as far as I can tell through Wikipedia. And with Wikipedia anyone on the planet can write anything they want on there so you know you're getting the best information. But think about what Ali is dealing with here:
There are 64 million colors that a computer can decipher. Since there are 7 colors, Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, in the visible spectrum, you get 7 base colors, plus black, which is the absence of color, still 64 million divided by 7 is 9,142,857 different colors of green. That's 9 million 142 thousand 8 hundred and 57 shades of green. But we won't just have green at the wedding. Ali is thinking about shades of red, blue and yellow as well. So 4 basic colors. You multiply shades per color by 4 and Ali has 36,517,428 different colors to choose from. Ali has to narrow 36,517,428 colors down to 4. That is daunting to say the least.
But if you look at it this way, she has narrowed 64 million to just under 37 million. Good for you Ali!
Love the office quote about Wikipedia! Ali really is achieving great things every day.
