Has anybody else noticed the striking similarities between Jim and Pam (Hereafter referred to as "Jam") and Greg and Ali? I'm serious. Where did Jam meet? Work. Where did Ali and Greg meet? Work. What is Pam's job? Receptionist. What is Ali's job? Receptionist. What is Jim's job? Sales. What was Greg's job?(albeit briefly) Sales. Where does Jim spend most of his time? Reception. Where did Greg spend most of his time? Reception. What is Jim's favorite thing to do at work? Pull pranks. What was Greg's favorite thing to do at work? Pull pranks. Who walks Pam out to her car everyday? Jim. Who walked Ali out to her car everyday? Greg. Jam was separated when Pam went to New York. Greg and Ali were separated when Ali went to Alaska.
Isn't that a little weird? Ali and I watch the Office every week and so really it's like watching our future unfold before our eyes. Jam got engaged and so did we. Or stories diverge slightly though when Jam gets married on a boat...I guess there is always Utah Lake...and we do have a boat...and my dad is a bishop...
And Pam was pregnant when they got married...I wonder what that means...
Last week Ali and I witnessed the future birth of our first child. Apparently it's going to be a girl and apparently Ali is going to breast feed somebody elses kid.
But Ali can't have a kid just yet because Ali is afraid of 2 things in this world; blankets covering her nose and baby spit up. When a blanket covers her nose she thinks that she is going to die and when a baby spits up on her she really wants to die.
What else does the future hold for Ali and I? Well NBC just renewed The Office for another season so I guess we'll find out.
